JB & Brittney’s Engagement session - Cow Creek Road & Bark K Park
Meet JB & Brittney y’all! These are Zach & I’s amazing neighbors & I am so excited for their upcoming Halloween wedding! This will be my second Halloween wedding & I can’t wait! JB and Brittney knew each other for about two years when the opportunity finally presented itself for the two to meet. Brittney spent a week or two at JB's sister's house (thank you, Mandy). And during those weeks, JB drove to South Austin every day until he got Brittney's number. From there, the magic began & hasn’t stopped since.
Their first date was Mt. Bonnel where they ran from theater to theater trying to find a good movie (Lego Batman FTW). What started with one date, turned in to dozens of dates, which turned into naturally spending every moment they could learning about each other and growing in their relationship.
Fast forward a few months and they were looking for houses. When they found "the one," Brittney asked JB if he would "wife her up" in that home. JB promised he would.
Well January 2018 rolls around and JB had a ring and a master plan! But the moment that ring was in his pocket, he couldn't stop thinking about it. So, he got down on one knee and proposed to Brittney in the same house he had made that promise. I think y'all know her response was a resounding YES!
Not very long after that, the couple discovered they were expecting! And sweet Leilani (Lay-Lawn-ee) has brought even more joy into their sweet family. That's when the real fun started!
So after five years of knowing each other, three years of dating, two years engaged, and one blessing of a child, the two are FINALLY going to tie the knot on Halloween night in 2020!!!
Fun Fact:
- The first time JB ever saw Brittney, he was with his dad and they were visiting her neighbor. They pulled up and he saw Brittney and he said to his dad "Who is that? She’s going to be with me!" His dad laughed it off, until 2 years later when they started dating.

Zach & I are grateful to have y’all as our neighbors & it is always a joy to see y’all & sweet Leilani (usually while we’re doing yardwork, lol). I am sincerely looking forward to photographing your big day on Halloween! I know planning a wedding in 2020 has been more difficult that normal, so hang in there & we will get y’all married-it’s so close! Can’t wait!!
